The clock tower dates back to 1924 and was restored and reinstalled in Victoria Park in 1995. It was then re-dedicated during Canada Day celebrations on July 1, 1995. This tower was saved just before the old city hall building was demolished. The park where it rests opened in 1896, making it Kitchener's oldest park. It includes park benches, man-made ponds, hundreds of flowers and shrubs, and a big open green field. The Queen Victoria statue also resides in the park.
